Our Process

At Cross Kitchens KC, we pride ourselves on clarity and communication with our customers from the initial meeting to the completion of a project. It’s with that core belief that we have built a very structured process that we follow with each renovation. We don’t want to just work for you, we want to partner with them to design, implement and finish the renovation of their dreams.

Initial Meeting

At our initial meeting with a customer, we go over several topics to lay the groundwork for the project to include measuring and discussing the basic scope of work. We want to hear your ideas and how you envision your renovation’s final design. Once the initial scope has been set and agreed upon, we discuss your budget parameters. We have a very good understanding of the kind of budgets customers should have, based on the scope of their projects. It is very important to us that communication is clear from the beginning of the project. Once the scope of work has been determined, finishes have been discussed and budget parameters have been set, we move on to the next step in our process.

Planning & Design Service

The most important part of any project is the time spent planning it. With our planning and design service, we work with our customers to create a complete blueprint for the entire renovation.

  • Fully Detailed Floor Plan with measurements
  • 3D Rendering of Space to be Renovated
  • Assistance with decisions on items such as cabinetry, flooring, countertops, paint, etc.
  • Finalized Cost, Scope of Work, Construction Schedule for all phases of the project
  • Clear and Consistent communication throughout the entirety of the project

Project Start

Once the plans, selections and all initial costs have been finalized, it is now time to start the renovation. Since CK-KC work from scope of work construction contract, there may not be any changes throughout your renovation. However, it is very common for customers to add or take away from the original scope
of work. We call these “change orders.” If customers request a change order or if unanticipated issues occur, We treat all changes as additional work orders, which is where communication with our customers become most important. We make sure that any changes are 100% approved before any of
the work is initiated.

Throughout the renovation, you will be kept up to speed on the schedule and make sure that any questions or concerns are taken care of right away. At the end of the project, a thorough walk-through will take place and a punch list of all remaining items will be made and be taken care of. Once the customer signs-off on the punch list items, they have been completed, Cross Kitchens KC will hand back
over to you, your beautifully updated and finished kitchen.
