At Cross Kitchens KC, we are excited to present one of our latest transformations: the 207th Street bathroom renovation. This project was driven by the desire of a couple whose daughter was heading off to college at K-State. They saw this as the perfect opportunity to renovate their bathrooms, including an expansive overhaul of the master bathroom and the addition of a new bathroom.

Master Bathroom Transformation

The master bathroom underwent a stunning transformation with several key upgrades. We started by installing a new heated floor tile system, controlled via a modern wifi thermostat for ultimate comfort. Our talented designer, Doni Gordon, played a crucial role in shaping this space with her design expertise.

One of the standout features of the master bathroom is the addition of a beautiful archway, which adds a touch of elegance and architectural interest. Complementing this are floating shelves and tile backing that provide both style and functionality. The outdated plaid wallpaper from the 70s and 90s was replaced with contemporary wallpaper that mimics detailed tile, introducing fresh pastel blues and greens along with white marble countertops. This combination creates a clean, open feel that is both modern and inviting.

To maintain the archway theme, the mirrors were designed to echo the archway motif, enhancing the cohesive look of the space.

Adding a New Bathroom and Walk-In Closet

In addition to the master bathroom remodel, we added a new bathroom and carefully designed the layout to include a divider between the bathroom and a walk-in closet. This divider features five shelving compartments, offering ample storage for bathroom essentials while keeping the space organized and accessible. The walk-in closet is beautifully finished with maple wood floors, plenty of shelving, and clothes racks, all illuminated by natural light from a strategically placed window. The white cabinetry in this area contributes to the clean and uncluttered aesthetic.

Elegant and Functional Details

The new bathroom features white subway tiles that complement the bright, airy atmosphere of the space. A white tub is paired with striking black faucet hardware, creating a bold contrast that enhances the room’s modern look. Above the deep white jacuzzi tub, an archway with natural wooden tones adds a touch of tranquility, making it a perfect spot for relaxation. Directly in front of the tub, a glass-encased shower with natural-toned tiles provides a luxurious bathing experience.

The dual sink area is equally impressive, featuring white quartz countertops and cabinets in a deep navy hue. This bold choice of cabinetry is paired with modern hardware, offering an elegant contrast. Wide teardrop mirrors and simple, contemporary sconces ensure the space is well-lit and visually appealing.

We are thrilled with how the 207th Street bathroom renovation turned out and proud to have been a part of creating such a beautiful and functional space. The project not only meets the practical needs of the homeowners but also reflects their style and the modern elegance they envisioned.
