This kitchen and whole-home renovation project was for a newly retired couple who had spent years running a hog farm and are now ready to begin the next chapter of their lives. The couple’s goal was to refresh their kitchen, but as we worked together, the vision expanded, and what started as a simple kitchen refresh quickly blossomed into a complete home remodel. With the help of our talented interior designer, Doni Gordon, we were able to take this house from outdated and functional to modern and welcoming, reflecting the couple’s new life and style.
A Full Home Transformation
When we began the project, the couple wanted to update the kitchen but quickly realized that a complete transformation of the entire space was what they truly envisioned. This included redoing every room inside, as well as updating the home’s exterior. The house was transformed with new siding and windows, thanks to our partnership with Rios. These changes not only improved the home’s curb appeal but also made it more energy-efficient, providing a beautiful and functional space for the couple to enjoy.
A Kitchen Like No Other
The kitchen was the focal point of the renovation, and Doni Gordon’s design expertise shined through in the final result. What was originally intended as a simple refresh evolved into a full kitchen remodel with modern finishes, functional design, and a cohesive layout that perfectly suited the couple’s lifestyle. We installed plenty of canned lighting throughout the kitchen and the entire home, brightening the space and creating a welcoming atmosphere. The upgraded cabinets, countertops, and backsplash all came together to give the kitchen a fresh, modern feel.
Bringing Light and Personality to the Space
One of the key elements of this transformation was the addition of canned lighting, which added brightness to every room. The lighting helped create a light, airy feel and brought new life to the home. In addition to the functional changes, we wanted to add a bit of character to the house. We painted the front door teal, a bold and beautiful color that instantly made the entryway pop and welcomed guests with a touch of personality.
